Relax with Guided Imagery - Sunday May 16, 10am - 1pm

A morning of stress management using guided imagery and music to help you experience the benefits of deep and peaceful relaxation. Relaxation is a learned state for both the mind and body, which once mastered can enable you to cope more effectively with stress in all areas of your life. We will also look at how using your own creative imagery can assist you with change, healing and motivation. Please bring a cushion and something comfortable to lie on.


Building Personal Resilience - Sunday May 30, 10am - 1pm

Why is it that some people bounce back after being hit by life's problems, while others find it hard to pick themselves up off the floor? This programme offers you an introduction to ways of building inner strength and resilience in order to experience change without stress.

During the session we will look at the following:

-- What is resilience and stress?

-- Understanding our responses when we feel "challenged" by change.

-- Choosing a different approach - waking up and controlling attention.

-- How to practice what you have learned.


Relax with Yoga - Sunday June 6, 10:30am - 12:30pm

Hatha Yoga offers a safe and gentle form of exercise to suit everyone - young, old, male or female. Yoga is a great source of stress relief, bringing balance to mind and body and increases energy for use in your daily life. The internal benefits include improving circulation, digestion and can help with respiratory problems.

In this session we will:

  --   learn about the importance of stretching

  --   how to increase suppleness and relieve stiffness in the body to gain strength
         in joints and muscles and improve posture

  --   learn specific breathing techniques helpful in achieving a balanced way of living

  --   take part in guided meditation

  --   practice relaxation techniques


Stress-free Relationships - Sunday June 13, 10am - 1pm

Healthy relationships are important to us all. This course provides an opportunity to reflect on your relationships and explore ways to communicate more effectively. Throughout the morning we will look at -- what constitutes a healthy relationship -- what can get in the way -- and what can be done to find ways forward.


Essences & Remedies of Nature - Sunday July 11, 10am - 1pm

This session will introduce you to the use of homeopathic remedies, aromatherapy essential oils as well as flower and other essences. We will explore relevant products and discuss the different ways in which they can be used in order to enhance your sense of well-being.
